istorie

In 2017, Bemis Europe Holdings acquired Evadix Labels and Evadix MPI based in Romania. Evadix Labels will continue to be a leading manufacturer of high-quality printable polyethylene films in Romania whilst EVADIX MPI specialises in converting and printing on flexible packaging film for food and beverage applications and other consumer goods. Both companies operate under Bemis and are located in the same plant, in Piatra-Neamt, North-East Romania, and altogether employ 62 people.

At present EVADIX continues its ongoing improvement policy in terms of quality and technologies used by new investments and R&D programs. Our goal is the satisfaction of our customers in a spirit of win-win partnership.

2013 marks the transition to HD printing. The prepress department is equipped with Esko’s HD Flexo technology.

In 2011, the new extrusion line (W&H) is put into service with remarkable results.

In 2010, the upstream development of the Group’s business in Romania is decided, with the integration of one of the main raw materials – polyethylene – as a printing medium.

Between 2008 and 2010, thanks to its quality and utmost reliability policy, EVADIX strengthens its position on the flexible packaging market and becomes one of its main actors.

In 2007, after 6 months of in-depth technical and strategic transformations, all machinery is replaced. A new W&H printing press, a Nordmeccanica laminator and a DCM slitter are put into service and equipment, hardware and software is purchased for a new prepress service.

In 2005, the Belgian group Evadix decides to expand its (offset) printing business in Eastern Europe and in a complementary sector: flexo printing. Romania is the obvious choice because of the growth potential in the flexible packaging field, the cultural affinities and the “first mover” advantage on this market.
